What we collect and why.

RAC Design [legal entity name and address to be added] is the data controller for the information you give us through this website.

What we collect

When you ask for a quote or book: your name, phone number, email, postcode and address, vehicle details including registration, photographs you choose to send, and your messages to us. When you pay a deposit, the payment is processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card details.

Why

To reply to your request, to quote and carry out the work, to send booking confirmations and reminders, and to keep records we're required to keep for accounting. The lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering a contract, then performing that contract, and our legitimate interest in running the business.

Who we share it with

Our hosting provider (Netlify), our email provider (Resend), our payment provider (Stripe) and, if you agree, the coating or film manufacturer for guarantee registration. No one else, and never for marketing.

Photographs

Photos you send are used to quote your job. Photos we take of your car are used for your before-and-after record. We only publish photos of your car with your permission and with the number plate hidden.

How long

Quote requests we don't take forward: 12 months. Bookings and invoices: six years for tax records. You can ask us to delete anything we aren't required to keep.

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). Email hello@racdesign.co.uk.
