Paint correction · Mobile, garage preferred

Swirls out. Depth back.

Every car that has been through a car wash carries swirl marks; you see them as a haze in sunlight. Machine polishing removes them, and the difference between one stage and three is how much we remove and how carefully we measure it.

01

Measure first.

Paint depth on every panel. We only remove what the clear coat can afford.

02

The machine.

A dual-action polisher, the right pad, the right compound for this paint.

03

Stage by stage.

Compounding removes the defects. Refining brings back the depth.

04

Depth returns.

The reflection sharpens as the last haze goes.

Correction and multi-stage are quoted, not booked blind: paint hardness, colour and what has already been done to the car change the work. We photograph the car and read paint depth before quoting. Black and dark solid colours show everything and take longest.

Why the numbers matter

A coating is only as good as the paint under it.

Sealing swirl marks under a five-year coating means living with them for five years. That's why every ceramic package we sell includes the right level of correction, and why we show you the test panel before agreeing the price.

Questions

How much does paint correction cost in the UK?
Locally, single-stage enhancement runs from about £300 to £500 and two-stage correction from £500 to £950. Ours start at £449 and £849 for a medium car, and the final figure depends on paint hardness, colour, size and how much has to come off. We confirm it after a test panel, before we start.
What percentage of defects will be removed?
Enhancement removes around 60 to 70%. Two-stage correction around 85 to 90%. Multi-stage 95% or more where the paint depth allows. These are assessed under calibrated lighting and confirmed on a test panel; no honest detailer promises 100%.
Is it safe for my paint?
Yes, when it's measured. We read paint depth with a gauge before and during polishing and stop well before any risk to the clear coat. Some deep scratches are left rather than chased.
Should I add a ceramic coating?
If you're paying to remove the swirls, protecting the result is the logical next step. Our Protect and Signature packages bundle the correction with a manufacturer-guaranteed coating for less than the two priced separately.
